This post is a little late coming and I really definitely should’ve written about it before because it is extremely noteworthy. Seán Patrick O’Malley, the Archbishop of Boston, was elevated to the position of Cardinal last Friday, March 24th. It was a very exciting time. He definitely deserves it. His faith & dedication to the Church is awesome. Plus, he is just a really great man. It’s so amazing to think that I was at a Mass given by him just a few short months ago and spent an evening in the same room as him and now he’s a Cardinal. What’s cooler? He got to hang out with Papa Ratzi. That’s pretty gosh darn awesome if you ask me. So, since he’s hung out with der Papst and I’ve hung out with him does that mean I’m one degree away from the Pope? Because, if so, elatedness abounds. Anyway, congratulations, Cardinal O’Malley!!

). Well, you’d be wrong. Actually, I’m writing this about Steven. You see, my boyfriend is a senior and that means he’s graduating this May (Elatedness!). However, he is also currently in the thick of Senior Project. That means that on top of being criticised & yelled at by the sponsors he has had to do a ton more work. The past two weeks my lovie has been doing a ridiculous amount of work. He has had to juggle school, Senior Project & working 3 days a week, and on top of that he’s been making time to talk to me every day and shower me with love & attention (Have I mentioned that I have the greatest boyfriend ever?). Not only that, but he’s been extremely wonderful & supportive to me when I’ve been stressed. Add on top of that the fact that he’s hardly been sleeping because of all the all-nighters and near all-nighters he’s been pulling. If anyone knows how horrendous not sleeping is it’s me. I’m amazed he’s still functioning and being as loving as he’s been because it is really hard when you’ve gotten as little sleep as he has. Last week between work & Senior Project Steven put in 70 hours. Yup. 70. Not only that, but he cuts his own sleep short every morning (and keep in mind that he really hasn’t been getting any sleep) to wake up when I do just so he can talk to me before we start our days. And this week is shaping up to be about the same for him workwise & sleepwise.
