So we’re moesyin’ along, mindin’ our own beeswax, when BAM the health center at BU calls to tell Lindsay that they exposed her to Whooping Cough. Um, hello, the 1930′s called, they want their infectious disease back.
A week later, she’s still feeling yucky. But on the bright side, she’s no longer under medical quarantine. Yeah, that’s right, she got to spend her entire week stuck alone in her room. Granted, it was good for her to get the rest she needs, and some very wonderful friends helped her out a lot by dropping by to bring her food. But seriously, that just sucked.
So in some other news, I got myself a little work to bring in some money while I look for my “real job”. I’m doing some support work for a couple months while someone is on medical leave. It is strange to be “that company it guy” with all my background being in software development, but work is work and so far it is all stuff I know how to do. So the immediate debt problem is solved (yay, being able to pay my bills) but the search for a software development job continues.
P.S. I love Lindsay, and you all should too. Send her hugs!

Well, it has been a while, so here is a quick update:
Lindsay has been super stressed and sick at school (yay alliteration), with a very bad case of the flu knocking her out right about the time she’s had several exams. She’s been working really hard and feeling really down and out, so you all should comment or message her with something nice to cheer her up.
I’ve been looking for a job, finding that I’m too qualified for entry level work and don’t have enough years of experience (according to employers) to do the work I have the actual skills for. Whee! So someday I’ll find something.
Meanwhile, I’ve been attempting to start work on a new, custom theme for our blog. Thanks go out to Bonita in Pink for the photoshop work she did for Lindsay on the banner. I might try to get something temporary up while I work on the perfect theme that makes Lindsay super-happy.
