I watched Alice today for four or five hours (it seemed like 4 or 5 minutes) today.  It was sort of spontaneous, but my father was going to be here today as well, so I wasn’t quite as terrified as I thought I would be.  It went really well.  Alice is a fantastic baby.  Really.  I mean, I know I haven’t been around many babies, but she’s really not terribly fussy.  She’s extremely well-behaved.  She was practically perfect, not that I’m biased or anything.  I’ll be posting pictures of her today and tomorrow.  The first several were taken in Photo Booth, and she really, really loved looking at herself.  It was adorable.

“Hey, who’s that baby?”

“No, really, who’s that baby?”

“Ok, this is fun.  I like that baby.”

“I want to play with that baby, Aunt Lindsay!”

She actually did smile for a few seconds, but my sister accidentally had it on video instead.

“My grandpa loves me.  My grandpa is also very, very comfy.”

Pretty much the greatest picture ever.

I wish you all a fantastic Christmas Eve!  As for me, I think I’m going to go take a nap and then go to midnight Mass–two of my favorite things!  Many blessings to you all.
